Earlyriser sent us the following set of photos from the Crabapple Hunt Club in Hancock County, Ga. This seed was planted in fall 2003. He writes: "Nothing but rape and the deer went crazy over it! This is only a 1/4 acre field, as many if not more deer were taken off this field as ony other field we had growing at Crabapple this particular year."

We got LUCKY! Planted the weekend of August 27th & 28th, Hurricane Katrina came by and it rained Mon, Tue, Wed, immediately after we planted. Then the drought hit and we went 45 days with absolutely NO RAIN, but we managed to get a crop out of the ground from Katrina and believe it or not, even without rain for 45 days and we still have a crop! Do more camera hunting than gun hunting these days. See deer almost 100% of the time the field is sat on. Could shoot does at any sitting, and have seen numerous bucks from spikes to 6 pointers and looking for a good 8 pointer bigger than is already on the walls :o)!
